The Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (STAR) is responsible for implementing and following up on employment policy in Denmark, including recruitment of necessary foreign labour.

The Danish Working Environment Authority (WEA) ensures occupational safety and health in Denmark. This is done by carrying out inspections of companies, making the rules on health and safety at work and providing information. In Denmark the employers have the responsibility to secure a healthy, stimulating and safe working environment.

The National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NFA) is a national research institute under the Danish Ministry of Employment.
